We are a charity, founded in 1991, that works with vulnerable and marginalised people in our communities, to support them towards gaining the independence they need to move on with their lives. Within our homes and services we work with people who are homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless, veterans, young people, and people with learning disabilities andmental health issues. Alabaré has grown as an organisation around the principles of integrity, inclusiveness, empowerment, equality and collaboration. We believe that through care, compassion, generosity and respect we can help people overcome barriers and lead happy, fulfilling lives.
How we can help you
Opportunities are available for work placements in marketing, PR, managing social media, fundraising, admin support, public speaking and presentations, warehouse support, drivers collecting furniture and delivering it to Alabare’s shops, social care – working alongside support workers, assisting at support groups for people with learning disabilities, working alongside any of the charities projects including a gardening project and cooking. Project management opportunities are available and would be good experience following on from a Prince 2 qualification.
Work placements can be offered for up to 6-9 months if required or for shorter periods and are available in the Salisbury Head Office or in any of the areas that Alabaré work in the South West.
