How we can help you
The Bishopsgate Financial Advanced Training Programme (ATP) is a fast track programme which enables talented ex-military personnel to have a career with Bishopsgate Financial in the city; based around Financial Sector Programme and Project Management.
Upon successful completion of the interview process an offer of employment will be presented to the individual and a start date for training will be provided. There will be an initial period of eight weeks intensive training before candidates embark on a two year period of mentoring and live client placements.
Although applicants may not have prior experience of working in the City, the Advanced Training Programme will utilize the many transferable skills gained from their time in the military and hone them to complement their training in Project Management. These would typically include Natural Leadership, Communication Skills and Discipline, all of which would be the foundation upon which the candidate would develop good Technical, Consulting and Financial Services skills.
The first tranche of the ATP who arrived in March, are now under the expert guidance of CEO Mike Hampson whilst working with external mentors who between them have accumulated many years’ experience working in the city, Bishopsgate Financial plan for this programme to grow in line with the projected company expansion over the forthcoming months/years.
Coupled with the career opportunities Bishopsgate Financial provides to ex-military personnel, the current members of our ATP provide a good base of former serving military personnel who between them have the insight and capability to provide an expert mentoring role to individuals that are currently in transition from military to civilian life. With more than ten operational tours between them and having all experienced the difficulties that many face when looking for direction in their new career paths they are well placed to offer knowledgeable guidance and advice.
