East Midlands Trains
East Midlands Trains is the train operating company that runs passenger rail services throughout the East Midlands. Our services run between Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby and London. We also operate between Liverpool, Manchester and Norwich, as well as most local routes in the East Midlands. We carry thousands of passengers each day and have a crucial role in the regional economy and in connecting our communities. The main employment areas are in Derby, Sheffield and Nottingham, but we also have a large presence in London and Leeds. EMT has a full mix of functions ranging from frontline customer service, retailing, engineering, train operations, finance, procurement and HR. We employ about 2000 people, including about 250 managers, and have a turnover of about £420 million. EMT is part of the worldwide Stagecoach Group which runs bus and coach operations in many countries.
