British Military Fitness (BMF) is the UK’s premier outdoor fitness provider, with over 140 venues across the United Kingdom.
BMF was founded in 1998 by two army reservists and one ex regular. Since our first class in Hyde Park in April 1999, BMF has trained thousands of clients at its 140 venues and currently has 500 serving or ex forces instructors delivering high quality British Army style fitness classes across the UK. BMF was the first fitness company to recognise the value of outdoor group training as a viable fitness product and still leads the way in what has become a growth fitness sector.
How we can help you
BMF are always looking for motivated and professional members or ex members of the Armed Forces, to join as a BMF instructor. All BMF instructors need to be knowledgeable and motivational, and to be able to adapt to changes quickly. They must have empathy, integrity and pride it what they do. But most importantly, our instructors are committed to supporting and encouraging our members with infectious enthusiasm. The only criteria we have is that you must have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces. It does not matter if you do not have an army fitness qualification as BMF are an industry recognised fitness trainer and are able to train our own instructors. As well as training as a BMF instructor you will also gain the nationally recognised Level 2 Personal Trainer qualification.
BMF are happy to offer all members of the Recovery Career Services a discounted / corporate membership to BMF. If you fancy improving your fitness by training outdoors with like-minded fun individuals from all different walks of life please log onto our website and fill out a Health Questionnaire and come along for a free trial class. If you do decide to join please inform the instructor that you are part of RCS and he will ensure you receive your discounted rate.
BMF hold regular events throughout the year, including the award winning Major series adventure runs. We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help pull our clients out of the mud or to give them some good old army encouragement. If you fancy a day out encouraging people please feel free to get in contact and I am sure our events team can find a muddy area where your skills and sense of humour will be most welcome.
