Crossrail’s mission is to deliver a world-class railway that fast-tracks the progress of London. The project will deliver a high speed railway from Heathrow and Maidenhead in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east, increasing London’s rail-based transport network capacity by 10% and significantly cutting journey times across the city.
Crossrail Ltd (CRL) is a company which was established in 2001 to promote and develop these vital links to meet the needs of people and businesses throughout the South East, and to ensure that London continues in its role as the Europe's leading financial and business centre.
How we can help you
There are a range of work opportunities on Crossrail. We regularly advertise apprentice positions within Crossrail Ltd and you can also find vacancies on our contractors websites (which can be accessed through our vacancy page). Our apprentice positions sit across the organisation in areas such as Commercial, IT, Talent & Resources, Programme Controls, Health and Safety and New Media, both at our head office at Canary Wharf or at our site offices across London. The majority of our apprentices are working towards the Business and Administration apprenticeship framework which gives them opportunity to gain a wide range of skills across the business.
No previous experience is required – instead we look for individuals with commitment and enthusiasm to learn on the job. The roles tend to last for 12 months – throughout this time apprentices are supported through training and mentoring to prepare them to apply for their next role on the project or for other employers once they have completed their apprenticeship.
